Pilates

Pilates consists of a system of exercises designed to work the body globally, seeking control and postural precision. The Pilates method harmonizes body and mind, restoring the balance lost in daily activity. It is a technique of immediate results, indicated both in programs of fitness, pregnancies, postpartum or full rehabilitation. Among its benefits are: strengthening, elimination of back and muscle pains, elasticity and relaxation, postural correction, etc.

Yoga and Meditation

Yoga (from Sanskrit yoga ‘union’) refers to a traditional physical, mental and spiritual discipline originated in India. The word is associated with meditation practices in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

According to its practitioners, yoga gives as a result:

  • The union of the individual soul with divinity (Brahman, Shiva, Vishnu, Kali, etc.), among those who have a devotional religious posture, and the union of being with the “whole”.
  • The perception that the “I” is spiritual and not material, among those who have a spiritualistic posture.
  • Physical and mental well-being, among those who have a rationalist posture (atheist or agnostic).
